Welcome to The Roster. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and your purchases from us. The Roster is operated by Curated Consignments LLC ("The Roster," "we," "us," or "our"). By using our site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or buy from us.

1. Who we are and how our marketplace works

The Roster is a managed consignment marketplace. We sell genuinely worn and pre-owned items on behalf of our creators. We take custody of those items, photograph and list them, and handle the sale and shipping to you. Your purchase and order are with The Roster, and we are the seller of record for your transaction. Our creators remain private; you will not receive their identity as part of a purchase.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to buy from The Roster. By ordering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.

3. Our items

Every item on The Roster is pre-owned and one of a kind. We describe each item's condition and show its wear in the listing photos, and we work to make our descriptions and images as accurate as possible. Because items are used, expect normal signs of wear, and note that colors, measurements, and details are approximate and may vary slightly from your screen. When an item sells, it is gone, and a direct replacement usually is not possible.

4. Pricing and payment

Prices are listed in US dollars unless stated otherwise. We may update prices, correct errors, and add or remove listings at any time. Applicable taxes and shipping are shown at checkout. When you place an order, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the total shown. We are the merchant of record for your purchase.

5. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy an item. We may accept or decline any order, and we may cancel an order and refund you if an item is unavailable, mispriced, or if we suspect fraud or a violation of these Terms. Because items are unique, once an item is sold to another buyer it will no longer be available.

6. All sales are final

All sales on The Roster are final, except for the limited cases described in our Returns and Refund Policy (items that arrive damaged, wrong, or materially not as described, and confirmed authenticity issues). Please read that policy before you buy. Our Returns and Refund Policy and Shipping Policy are part of these Terms.

7. Shipping

We ship within the United States and Canada, as described in our Shipping Policy. For orders shipped to Canada, you are the importer of record and are responsible for any duties, taxes, and customs fees, as described in that policy.

8. Authenticity

We take authenticity seriously and work to ensure our items are genuine. If you believe an item is not authentic, contact us at support@theroster.store with your order number and photos, and we will investigate. If an item is confirmed to be counterfeit, we will refund you in full.

9. Payment disputes and chargebacks

If something is wrong with your order, please contact us first at support@theroster.store. We can almost always resolve issues faster and more directly than a card dispute. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us, or for a reason not supported by these Terms and our Returns and Refund Policy, may result in us declining future orders from you.

10. Acceptable use

When using our site, you agree not to: use it for any unlawful purpose, buy with the intent to defraud or misrepresent, interfere with or disrupt the site, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or infringe our or anyone else's rights. We may suspend or refuse service to anyone who violates these Terms.

11. Intellectual property

The site and its content, including our name, logo, text, and images, belong to The Roster or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the site to browse and buy. You may not copy, scrape, resell, or use our content without our permission.

12. Disclaimers

Our items are pre-owned and sold in the condition described in their listings. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and our items are provided "as is," and we disclaim warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived, including for buyers in Canada.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Roster will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or your purchase. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the item at issue. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold The Roster harmless from claims and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the law or someone else's rights.

15. Privacy

Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that we cannot resolve informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you agree to that venue, except where the law of your home jurisdiction gives you rights that cannot be waived.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the version that applies to your order is the one in effect when you place it. Please review these Terms periodically.
