The Roster · Accessibility
an experience everyone can use.
The Roster is built to be used comfortably by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, or assistive technology. This statement sets out what we aim for, what we have done, where we know we fall short, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA.
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA as our standard for the storefront. It shapes how we build pages, choose colors, structure content, and write the words around every product.
Accessibility is treated as part of the design, not a fix applied afterward. New pages are checked against these guidelines as we build them, and we revisit older ones as the site grows.
The measures already in place.
A plain account of the choices baked into the storefront today.
Semantic, ordered markup
Pages use meaningful headings and landmarks in a logical reading order, so screen readers and keyboards can move through content predictably.
Operable without a mouse
Interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard, and every focused element shows a visible focus outline so you always know where you are on the page.
Legible color and type
Text and interface colors are chosen to meet AA contrast against their backgrounds, and body copy is set at a comfortable size with room to breathe.
Described, not decorative-only
Product and content images carry descriptive alternative text, written in plain, non-explicit language, so their meaning reaches people who cannot see them.
Respects your settings
If you have reduced-motion enabled in your system, we honor it and switch off non-essential animation and transitions across the site.
Clearly labelled
Form fields carry visible labels and clear error messages, so applying or getting in touch is straightforward with assistive technology.
What we are still working on.
We would rather name the gaps than pretend they do not exist.
Some content is delivered through third-party tools we do not fully control, including the checkout and certain embedded features. We choose partners with accessibility in mind, but we cannot guarantee every part of their experience meets the same standard.
Older listings and images may not yet carry the same depth of description as newer ones. We are working through them as we go. If you reach a piece of the site that is hard to use, telling us is the fastest way to get it fixed.
Tell us, and we will help.
If any part of The Roster is difficult to use, or you need information in a different format, we want to hear from you and we will do our best to help directly.
Email support@theroster.store. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will respond and work with you on an alternative.

We are listening
help us do better.
If something here did not work for you, one message is enough. We take access issues seriously and we act on them.
