For sellers · FAQ
everything a seller asks, answered.
The Roster is managed consignment for creators. You send the gear you have genuinely worn, we do the rest, and your name never reaches a buyer. Here is how the whole thing works, from the box you pack to the payout that lands.
Managed consignment, built around your privacy.
You consign the pieces you have worn to us. We photograph them, list them on a storefront that carries your handle, sell them, and ship them discreetly. We are the merchant of record, so buyers check out with The Roster, never with you. You keep your audience, set your prices, and collect your share. The questions below cover the rest.
What is The Roster, exactly?
Managed consignment for creators. You consign the gear you have worn to us; we photograph it, list it on a storefront that carries your handle, sell it, and ship it. We handle every buyer question and every shipping label. You collect your cut, and you never touch the logistics.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing to apply, nothing to list, nothing to keep your storefront open. Your only cost is shipping, in both directions: sending your pieces to us, and returning anything unsold if you want it back. Both are netted from your payout, so nothing comes out of pocket up front.
How many pieces should I send to start?
We suggest at least fifteen, so your storefront opens full and gives your audience plenty to reach for on day one. There is no ceiling. Send more whenever you like, and restock as often as you want.
What sells on The Roster?
The gear you have genuinely worn and trained in: jerseys and team kit, hoodies and crewnecks, gym fits, shorts and joggers, sneakers, hats, outerwear. If a follower would want it because it was on your body, it belongs on your page.
What sells best?
Full outfits. A complete look you actually wore pulls a far higher total than the same pieces sold apart, and your audience loves owning the whole fit. Build a few bundles into your first batch and price them as sets.
Do you clean everything before it lists?
Every piece is brought to a clean, presentable standard on intake, before a single photo is taken. Washables that need it are laundered. Provenance and structured pieces that a wash would damage, a game-worn jersey, a fitted cap, a pair of sneakers, are spot-cleaned, steamed, and deodorized instead. Nothing grimy or stained ever goes up.
Could my pieces get mixed with another seller's in the wash?
No. When we launder, we batch strictly by owner. Your gear is never run together with anyone else's, and it comes back to your own storage before it is photographed.
How much do I keep?
Founding sellers keep seventy percent of every sale for a full year from launch. After that, the standard split is sixty percent to you, forty to us. Tips are separate and go to you in full; we never take a cut of a tip.
Who sets the price?
You do, on every item. We will show you where similar pieces tend to land and flag anything we think is priced below what your audience would happily pay, but the final number is always yours.
When and how do I get paid?
Weekly. Everything that has cleared since your last payout goes out the same day each week and reaches your account within a couple of business days. A short scorecard lands alongside it, so the numbers and the money arrive together.
Will a buyer ever see my name or address?
Never. You ship to us, we ship to buyers, and neither side sees the other's details. Packaging is plain and unbranded, and the charge on a buyer's statement is neutral. You front your page under the name you choose; your legal identity, home address, and contact details never show.
How does verification work? Do you hold my ID?
Identity and age checks (18+) run through an independent, bank-grade verification partner. You upload your ID to them, never to us, and we only ever receive a "verified" result. Your documents never sit in our inbox. It keeps impersonators off the platform and protects you and your buyers alike.
Are my items safe once I send them?
Yes. As your box arrives we film a short private intake video, shared only between you and us and never shown to buyers, and send you an itemized manifest. Once you sign it, we have both agreed exactly what came in and the condition it came in. From there your pieces are insured and held in secure, climate-controlled storage until they sell or you ask for them back.
What happens to pieces that do not sell?
They are yours the whole time. Keep them listed as long as you like, or ask for them back and we return them, with return shipping netted from your payout. Nothing is ever sold or discarded without your say.
Do I keep my own audience?
Completely. Your storefront carries your handle and your links, and we never cross-promote other creators on it or steer your followers elsewhere. Your traffic stays yours. When you restock, we quietly let your past buyers know a fresh drop has landed, at no cost to you.
How long until my pieces are live?
Once your box clears intake, photography and listing usually take a few days per batch. Each piece appears on your storefront as it is finished, so you can start sharing links as they go up.
Can my international followers buy?
Yes. We ship worldwide. International buyers cover shipping and any customs duties assessed by their local authority. Founding sellers are US-based for now; we will open seller onboarding in other countries as we grow.
